How to record and repeat a task in Chrome
Updated 27 October 2026
If a browser task keeps coming back, you can teach Lupdo its steps by doing it once. You do not need to describe every click or write a script.
Choose a small, clear routine
A short form with a visible saved record is a useful starting point. Avoid a first test involving payments, deletion or a real email recipient. Lupdo works in Chrome on a computer, not in desktop applications or mobile Chrome.
Record and save
- Install Lupdo and open the website where you normally work. Sign in to that website yourself.
- Choose Record a task in Lupdo. Complete the routine normally, including any navigation or tab changes it requires.
- Finish recording and give it a recognizable name. In Data when repeating, choose which fields should be requested each time.
Repeat with the right data
Use Repeat to follow the saved steps. Choose With changes for new field values. An AI plan also lets you explain changes in your own words or paste source text. Review the proposed values before continuing; fields you have not asked to change may retain their recorded values.
Check the outcome
Look for the actual saved record or expected page result. A task reaching its last step is not a reason to ignore what the website shows. If a control cannot be identified safely, Lupdo stops and explains the step. A changed website may require recording that step again.
The free plan supports recording and repeating. AI features and larger batches require the relevant plan. Captchas, two-step verification and unsupported controls still need your attention.
